Remembering Ken

From Nick Steneck:

We go back many years.  Ken was still a graduate student when I first met David Smith and explored the idea of forming a professional organization focused on professional ethics.  As with the World Conferences, our initial plan was to help professionals in the field deal with ethical issues and not create an organization made up of professional ethics professionals.  This was at a time when universities were cutting back, with philosophy being an obvious target, so there were plenty of professional philosophers and others, such as Ken, who eagerly moved into the field.  Ken was always fun to work with since he was not basically a philosopher and willing to explore any approach that might work.  He contributed a great deal to the development of the teaching of RCR.
