The Plan reflects OGE’s ongoing commitment to its important mission of preventing conflicts of interest. The Plan recognizes that uniformity, accountability, continuity, and citizen engagement are vital to the success of that mission. The Plan highlights the importance of accountability, the public’s role in overseeing government integrity, ethics as a shared responsibility, and ethics in the Presidential nomination process.

OGE will use the Plan to determine its future work, set priorities, and measure success.

Thank you again for your feedback during the drafting phase. Stakeholder feedback was instructive and resulted in several changes to the final Plan. These changes include highlighting the important role senior leadership plays in creating an ethical culture.

We look forward to continuing to work with the academic community to carry out this important mission set out in this Plan.

Thanks to the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) for this announcement. – KDP
